Breaking Away
In 2009 - Three home building veterans decided to take a leap of faith and set off on their own during The Great Recession to create what they hoped would become the next generation of homebuilders.
The Big Idea
What if a home building company thought of itself as a lifestyle brand, focused on being customer-centric and design-driven? Instead of simply building houses, why not build homes in communities that would improve the way people live? With that concept, Tri Pointe Homes in California and Colorado was born.
Going Public
Success in the marketplace was almost immediate. And with it, came the momentum to take Tri Pointe Homes public in 2013. It was the first homebuilder IPO in over 10 years, launching our Orange County-based company onto the national stage.
Growth x 6
In 2014, more doors opened - when Tri Pointe Homes merged with five other regional homebuilding brands.
Smart Solutions
As the company matured, we began designing best practices and developing a set of customer-driven programs. We launched LivingSmart, Tri Pointe Solutions, Tri Pointe Connect Mortgage, Tri Pointe Advantage Insurance Services, and Tri Pointe Assurance.
Power of One
What began as six separate builders became one premium lifestyle brand in 2021: Tri Pointe Homes®. Uniting under one entity allowed us to really focus on what we love most—designing homes and neighborhoods that uplift people and inspire everyday living.
